So what’s the President supposed to do about this, exactly?  Sue ‘em?  Send the Coast Guard? Call for a Congressional investigation?  Send in FEMA (they did a heck of a job with Katrina!).

Once again, the futility of our current politics raises its ugly head.  Our government can’t do ANYTHING about this horrible tragedy.  BP and its contractors/partners made this mess.   They need to clean it up. Pronto.   How hard is that? The more we distract the responsible parties with press conferences and Congressional inquiries so our politicians can cover their asses, the longer it’s going to take. 

THEN, we can talk about how to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
